New Coen Brothers. Awesome Trailer

Tuesday, July 28, 2009

First was the Chopper. Then the Pack of Dogs. Now you will be Gunshipped!

Clone Wars Season 2 Trailer. To a Jar Jar less show, with badass Bounty Hunters and Revenge of the Sith lead-ins!

The first season of Clone Wars was rather hit and miss. Although when it hit. It hit like a Imperial Ground Assualt to the face. This season appears to have a more rounded story.
There also appears to be hints that lead to the 'Revenge of the Sith' Story . Jedi Holocrons? Weren't some missing when Obi-Wan and Yoda were looking through the Jedi Temple in episode 3??

Police arrest a naked Terminator

"A man found naked at a casino claimed he was a Terminator sent from the future.

19-year-old Sean Stanley Smith was arrested on the Nevada border after he was spotted by a motorist wandering around the highway nude. He was ordered by police to stop but proceeded into a nearby casino - where he was then tasered in front of a group of children.

Smith claims he was a Terminator sent back in time from the future - a reference to the film character made popular by Arnold Schwarznegger in the sci-fi franchise. The films usually start with a naked man being transported to the past.

However, it turned out that Smith was not a time-travelling Terminator but was in fact suffering from the effects of LSD and marijuana. He was charged with indecent exposure and resisting a police officer."

Machete is going into production!

Machete is a film by Robert Rodriguez. It is an expansion of a fake trailer Rodriguez directed for the 2007 film Grindhouse. It will star Danny Trejo (in his first lead role) as the title character. Then we get this news from Geektyrant.

" Robert Rodriquez is adapting his little Grindhouse trailer Machete into a full length Grindhouse film, and today blood-disgusting got an inside tip on who has been cast in the movie. First of all Robert Rodriguez and Ethan Maniquis are teaming up as co-directors and will start shooting July 29th.

Danny Trejo, will reprise the role he made famous.

Michelle Rodriguez, (Fast & Furious, Lost) will be playing a character named Luz.

Jonah Hill, (Superbad) has been cast in the role of Julio.

And this is the kicker, Robert De Niro, will be playing Senator McLaughlin. Yes, I said Robert De Niro.

This is only rumor until it is confirmed. Machete (Trejo) is a Mexican ex-Federale with a gift for wielding a blade, who hides out as a day laborer, who is double-crossed by a corrupt state senator (De Niro)."

'Where The Wild Things Are' Early CG animation Test made in 1983

Disney really was ahead of its time with this animation. I can see this probably was too complex and costly a process for a full length feature and was obviously scrapped. Now we just wait till Christmas for Spike's version.

Busy P explains his role at Parklife.

Back in June when ITM brought you the first announcement for this year’s Parklife festival (full lineup here in case you missed it), amongst the cavalcade of big names artists gracing the festival one thing stood out in particular – that Ed Banger head honcho Busy P (AKA Pedro Winter) be would returning to the festival as DJ and also as Parklife’s host. Like all who heard the announcement, our interests were piqued, so when ITM got Pedro on the phone to talk about his schedule in the lead up to the festival, we couldn’t help but pry the charismatic Frenchman for information about what his hosting duties at the festival would involve.

“It’s a funny thing, because we threw this idea out to the people at Fuzzy without really knowing what my complete role would be. I know what I want to do is to try and create some interaction between the crowd and the stage. Most of the time at a festival you will have people watching acts but when the two acts are changing over the people might leave or get bored. I’m going to try and keep them around and play with them. I think it will be fun,” he explained.
Acting as Parklife’s official master of ceremonies, Busy P says he’ll be attempting to bridge the between festival fans and the artists on stage, implementing an atmosphere similar to those of his notorious Ed Rec parties.

“Something I’m also trying to push for is this thing we invented with the Ed Banger crew, it’s a kind of ‘backstage onstage’. Most of the time, a DJ show can be a bit boring if they’re just pushing play on their CDs. But if they’re making something on stage, if they’re making a real show for everyone it can be fun,” he told us. “I want to bring more to the stage. I’ve been working with DJs and my crew and telling them, instead of partying with your friends backstage, bring them out onstage and party out here, you know? It’s going to be good because on my stage I know a lot of the artists like Erol Alkan, Tiga and Empire Of The Sun, so there will be a friendly vibe.” He added, “For Parklife, my batteries will be charged and I’ll be ready to party!”
With Busy P’s hosting responsibilities now a little clearer, we’re even more excited for Parklife’s arrival! If you’re feeling the same way, enter ITM’s massive competition to win your own private cabana at this year’s festival!

Busy P will both DJ at ‘host’ the national Parklife tour, proudly presented by ITM! Keep your eyes peeled to our Festival Page at inthemix.com.au/parklife and check out the national tour dates below…

Deleted scene from Watchmen - Hollis Mason's Death

This will be one of many scene's that will be included in the director's cut. Should be out soon. I loved the theatrical cut, so I'm looking forward to seeing this 25 minute extended version. Late down the line too they will be making an ultimate-extended edition which is something like 46 minutes longer then the theatrical version.

Three new dinosaurs found in our backyard (Queensland)

Artist impressions of the three newly identified dinosaurs: Australovenator (top), Wintonotitan (middle), Diamantinasaurus (bottom) (Source: T Tischler, Australian Age of Dinosaurs Museum of Natural History)

Palaeontologists have unveiled three new Australian dinosaur skeletons in outback Queensland today.

The two herbivores and one carnivore, excavated from the Winton formation, roamed our land during the Cretaceous period - 98 million years ago.

The research, published in the current edition of PloS One, puts Australian back on the palaeontology map and describes Australia's fauna before it separated from the supercontinent Gondwana.

Palaeontologist and lead author Dr Scott Hocknull, of the Queensland Museum, says in the past dinosaur discoveries in Australia haven't been considered important because there were so few of them.

"We've been able to prove that [view] completely wrong."

Hocknull says all three skeletons are new genera of dinosaur, which show evolutionary links with dinosaurs from the northern hemisphere.

"Dinosaurs diversified and spread all over the world but Australia, being a very isolated place at the end of the world, developed its own unique fauna."

Jack White before White Stripes acting in a Sci-fi spoof shot in 1998 and released only now.

A "long lost" Sci-Fi spoof trailer. Aliens from Mars come to Earth and force a mad scientist to "create" a "chick magnet" to lure women so, they may take them to Mars because,.. Mars needs women, of course! A cross between Young Frankenstein, The Nutty Professor and all of Ed Wood's movies. This film pays homage to all things sci-fi, horror and, of course, COMEDY!

This film features the REAL acting debut of Jack White (pre-White Stripes and "Cold Mountain") of The White Stripes, The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather. Shot in 1998 but finished in 2009 and making it's WORLD PREMIERE at San Diego International Comic Con July 25th, 2009. More screenings to follow,.. stay tuned for website and other information.
